Prize Bond investment is considered a no loss investment in Pakistan. Prize Bonds are issued by the Government of Pakistan and any person can buy Prize Bonds from commercial banks or Prize Bond dealers at market rate. In the market, the rate of Prize Bonds is not fixed, it depends on how much time is remaining in the next draw. Prize Bonds can be sold back to banks for their original price at any time.

Prize Bonds come in 6 different denominations. Rs. 100/- is the smallest and Rs. 40000/- Premium is the largest denomination. A draw is held for each denomination of Prize Bond every three months by State Bank of Pakistan. Denominations of Prize Bonds are Rs. 100/-, Rs. 200/-, Rs. 750/-, Rs. 1500/-, Rs. 25000/- Premium and Rs. 40000/- Premium Prize Bond. There is no guarantee that anybody will win a prize in a draw even if he/she has 1000 prize bonds but someone can win the 1st Prize only by having one prize bond. It all depends on luck.
